Quarto Strategy Game

It is a connected chess game launched by Blaise Müller in 1991. Its gameplay is an unbiased game.

1. 4*4 square chessboard, with a total of sixteen chess positions. 2. Both sides share sixteen chess pieces. Each chess piece has four characteristics, and each characteristic has two categories. But no two chess pieces have all the same characteristics. (1) Color: dark or light (2)Height: high or low (3) Shape: square or round (4) Virtual or real: hollow or solid

rule

1. The game starts with an empty scale, and all the chess pieces are outside the chessboard first. 2. In each round, the opponent first selects a chess piece outside the field, and then the player places it in any space. Three or four chess pieces with the same characteristics are connected in a straight line or diagonally to win.

Advanced rules

1. When four chess pieces with the same characteristics are connected in four adjacent squares to form a square, the player wins. The rest of the rules are the same.

Quarto Game

Each of the 16 pieces has 4 different attributes. The aim is to line up 4 pieces which share the same attribute. The problem is you can't choose which piece you're going to play your opponent chooses for you.
