In Bonsai Master, players take on the role of a skilled bonsai master dedicated to growing their own bonsai. Whoever could grow the best plants was appointed to display their pots in the Royal Gardens.
On your turn, choose and perform one of two actions: Meditate or Cultivate. If you choose to meditate, select a target tile face up and place it in your potted plant. These goal tiles represent your goals when planting potted plants, such as a specific plant shape or color.
If you choose to grow, draw a card from the deck and place it in your potted plant. These cards represent the tools and techniques you use when growing potted plants.
The game ends when all target tiles have been removed by the players. Each tile in the pot has a certain score.
In single player you can try out additional scenarios, change some of the rules and objectives, and ultimately try to defeat the Emperor's Challenge
