Proof of Innocence is a cooperative mystery game with a progressive story where your teammates must work together through different plots to prove your innocence. You are each accused of various crimes that you did not commit, and you will have to uncover the truth in a campaign divided into 3 acts. Although narratively connected, each episode can be played independently and does not have to be played in the order of the campaign. Each episode is presented in the form of a 6x6 grid, in which you can find different types of colored squares. The color of each square corresponds to an evidence type, and at the start of the game each player will draw a card for each evidence type on the grid. The combination of these cards is your neighbor's solution, so each player will be responsible for another player's solution. Going round by round, each player asks optional questions that will help not only themselves, but also all other players. The goal is to figure out your solution before you run out of questions, as you only have a limited number of questions to ask until the end of the episode! At the end of the episode, players declare what they think their solution is. If everyone is right, you win. If not, it looks like your team loses... Proof of Innocence is highly modular: each episode has 3 difficulty levels to satisfy all types of players, from newbies to seasoned mystery game veterans. As you progress through the plot, you will unlock different modules. After all, each of you is your own character and you may have your own abilities...
