驚爆倫敦 危機進化 Timebomb Evolution 的玩法跟 驚爆倫敦 Timebomb 差不多莫里亞蒂在倫敦各個著名歷史建築安置了炸彈，而它們也即將要引爆了！夏洛克必須在午夜前拆除所有的炸彈。在遊戲開始時，你們會祕密的知自己的陣營：夏洛克或莫里亞蒂。你的目的是要試著在不被敵人察覺的情況找到隊友（或分辨出敵人）。在每回合中，每個人都選擇其他玩家面前的引線並剪掉－以幫助解除炸彈或嘗試引爆炸彈。如果你是夏洛克陣營，那麼你的目標就是解除所有炸彈；另一方面，如果你是莫里亞蒂陣營，那麼一旦炸彈爆炸，你就獲勝。

卡卡頌由德國遊戲設計師 Klaus-Jürgen Wrede 設計，曾經得過2001年的年度遊戲獎。
卡卡頌的名字來自於一個位於法國西南，以其城牆聞名的同名小鎮：Carcassonne。
卡卡頌有多種得分方法，通常而言佔據建築物或草地便會有分數。玩家每一回合需要放置版圖幫忙擴大地圖，也可以選擇運用手上的米寶來佔據建築物或地域，城堡、道路、修道院和草地各有不同的計分方法。還可以加入不同的擴充，改變計分方法和增加建築物的種類，絕對是一個百玩不厭的遊戲。
卡卡頌 2.0 中文版由台灣新天鵝堡桌遊製造，基本版包括河流擴充及修道院長擴充。另外大盒版包含其他擴充，增加遊戲的變化。
